PhilanthroTitan Prometheus created humans out of clay and felt sorry for them because they were cold and glum. He stole fire from the gods, hid it in a fennel stalk, carried it to the humans and taught them how to use it. Zeus punished Prometheus by chaining him to a mountain and sending tabloid reporters to chew his liver daily for 13 generations.
